Homosexuality: What does the bible REALLY say about homosexuality - gay and lesbian activity?

In order to understand the bottom line on homosexuality, from the perspective of the Bible, and what God feels about it, we have to agree on some basic concepts. The most important is the willingness to accept what God's word says about any given subject.

In other words, to have any kind of Christian belief that amounts to anything, there can be only ONE source for that belief, and that is the Holy Bible. without accepting this book as having any authority for describing exactly WHAT Christianity is, YOU have NO foundation on which to base ANY belief you may have about God and truth.

If you don't base your belief on what the Bible reveals, then you need go no further because we have no common ground from which to address the subject of homosexuality from a religious perspective, or that of any form of TRUE Christianity.

If you DO base your religious belief on the bible and its revelations, then you must ALSO be willing to accept ALL of its revelations, or accept NONE of them. You can't pick and choose what to believe based on your own feelings and belief systems. If you pick and choose as it pleases you, then you are creating your own form of religion and negating what God clearly reveals as His will for mankind.

2 Peter 1:20 "Knowing this first, that no prophecy (inspired speaking) of the scripture is of any private (personal interpretation or isolated from other scriptures) interpretation. 21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spoke [as they were] moved by the Holy Spirit.

POINT: You can't pick and choose scripture to support your personal opinion or belief or wish. It either ALL comes from God as inspired, or NONE of it is. WHY? Because to accept anything less leaves the decision as to WHAT part to believe and accept and which part to ignore WITH THE INDIVIDUAL.

THIS AFFECTIVELY CREATES NO RELIGION AT ALL AND ALLOWS EVERYONE TO DO THAT WHICH IS RIGHT IN THEIR OWN eyes, BASED ON THEIR OWN INTERPRETATION OF WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS.

God disappears and man takes God's place deciding what is right and what is wrong, what is good and what is evil.

2 Timothy 3:16 "All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness" (Emphasis mine throughout)

POINT: If ANY of the Bible is accepted, then ALL of it must be, or NONE of it can be taken seriously. God plainly tells us that ALL scripture is given for our benefit. (Including OLD Testament scriptures since the "scriptures" written of in the above scripture were ALL Old Testament scriptures at the time.) The homosexual community has been actively lobbying for equal rights to practice their beliefs within society and not be discriminated against. They have even gone to great lengths to influence most Christian denominations into accepting homosexuality as a normal and God-sanctioned practice. Many of these denominations have either accepted such practices, or winked at such behavior essentially giving tacit approval of the same.

WHAT DOES GOD SAY ABOUT HOMOSEXUALITY?

WHAT DOES SCRIPTURE SAY ABOUT HOMOSEXUALITY?

Leviticus 18:22 "You shall not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it [is] abomination."

Leviticus 20:13 "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood [shall be] upon them."

1 Corinthians 6:9 "Know you not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, (homosexuals) :10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God."

POINT: The above scriptures make it clear that homosexuality is being discussed. There is NO room for negotiation on what God is stating. However, it needs to be understood that the sin of homosexuality isn't a sin worse than other sins. SIN IS SIN and ANY sin carries with it the death penalty, unless repented of. Despite homosexual tendencies, the PRACTICE of homosexuality, unless repented of and fought till death, will lead to eternal death - cessation of the soul life forever.

The following scripture range in Romans makes it even more clear as to what God feels about homosexuality:

Romans 1:18 "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness" 19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God has showed [it] to them. 20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, [even] his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse 21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified [him] not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and four footed beasts, and creeping things :24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves: 25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie,(Isaiah 5:20 Woe to them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!) and worshiped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. 26 For this cause (because of the above attitudes and practices) God gave them up to vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet. 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in [their] knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; (least fitting) 29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, (sex outside marriage) wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 30 back biters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: 32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in others that do them."

I would challenge anyone who has the least respect for God and His word, and who tries to uphold homosexuality as "God ordained" as some have put it, to give a biblical answer to their beliefs and practices.

The fact is, THERE IS NO SUCH ANSWER THAT CAN BE SUPPORTED BY GOD OR HIS WORD.

CONCLUSION:

• God looks for those who seek to please Him through obedience, (not just Accepting God) and those who put their belief into practice.
  
  
• Christian Faith is only good if it is a LIVING FAITH. (Faith that is applied according to God's word and that grows AS we apply it).
  
  
• God forgives those who sincerely believe Him and who bring their sins to Him and ask for the help to overcome them to the end of their live.
  
  
• Homosexuality and lesbianism are wrong belief systems, just like any other sin explained in the Bible. They are deviations of the human mind, just like the sin of theft, murder, hate, coveting, lust, etc., that lead to death for any one of us.

  If we don't accept that, then you are accepting a False Christianity and are deceived about that very fact!
