The following is a biblical discussion regarding evidence of a plane earth and not a ball or globe earth. The best place to start this study is in the beginning, in Genesis, where God actually creates all we know around us. Only the relevant scriptures will be addressed regarding the "firmament" and what exactly it is.

Gen 1:6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

Gen 1:7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.

Gen 1:8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

Firmament, in Hebrew, comes from Strong's # H7549, raw-kee'-ah, From H7554; "properly an expanse, that is, the firmament or (apparently) visible arch of the sky: - firmament."

Gen 1:6 "And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. Gen 1:7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. Gen 1:8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day."

Firmament H7549 comes from the root word H7554, raw-kah' "A primitive root; to pound the earth (as a sign of passion); by analogy to expand (by hammering); by implication to overlay (with thin sheets of metal): - beat, make broad, spread abroad (forth, over, out, into plates), stamp, stretch."

Doesn't that sound like a created solid dome that is "stretched" across the earth to contain the atmosphere... "Visible arch of the sky" as the H7549 reveals? "Firm" signifies something solid...not simply air or an empty vacuum of space as science or even biblical scholars try to describe it.

"Heaven" in vs 8, from H8064 - shaw-mah'-yim, shaw-meh', from an unused root meaning to be lofty; the sky (as aloft; the dual perhaps alluding to the visible arch in which the clouds move, as well as to the higher ether where the celestial bodies revolve): - air, X astrologer, heaven (-s)."

Gen 1:9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together to one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. Gen 1:10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.

Remember, this "heaven" is what the "firmament" is called in vs 8 above, so the waters below this firmament, which includes our atmosphere, are gathered into seas on this earth.

Gen 1:14 "And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: Gen 1:15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. Gen 1:16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. Gen 1:17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, Gen 1:18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good."

Gen 6:1  And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them . . ."

As a side note, this fourth day of creation is just after the third day where plants were created. Many people presume these "days" to be "ages" or many thousands or millions of years, but if this were so, then these plants would have all died out without our sun as it is created in the fourth day. The light and darkness of Gen. 2:3-5 is different and not a specific type of "lights" as the sun and moon provide. Notice also, that it states that "God made two great lights" (vs 16) which suggests that these two lights are actual lights, and not one being a "reflection" of the other. Scientific data has shown that the moon's light is actually cooler than the shadow areas at night. These "lights" are quite amazing.

"Stars" comes from H3556, ko-kawb' "Probably from the same as H3522 (in the sense of rolling) or H3554 (in the sense of blazing); a star (as round or as shining); figuratively a prince: - star ([-gazer])."

Points to note: These were two great lights... obviously the sun for ruling the day and the moon for ruling the night. Lights, not stars, as vs :16 shows, they were made as separate things. They were set in the firmament where, apparently, they move around in a circular pattern, year after year, which is why Polaris (which is stationary and does not move) and the stars move as they do. The sun and moon are obviously not set in the "air" part of the created "firmament"** so this part must be above our atmosphere, and close to or "IN" the "waters" above the firmament. **Gen 1:20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven."

This highly suggests that what we call our atmosphere is a part of the firmament that was created "below" the waters because it states "open firmament." If the sky where birds fly is "open", then it is obvious that the other part of the "firmament" is NOT "open" and is closed and sealed because birds cannot fly in "space" or the other, closed, part of the "firmament." Is that not logical?

The "stars" are defined as "round or shining" which is exactly what you see when you review the pictures of these "stars" as shown in the target="new"evidence pages linked from the link at the top of this page.

Is there any more evidence of a plane earth in the bible?

Pro 8:29 "When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth:"

This would be the ice wall of Antarctic which holds all the world's ocean waters in place, level across the earth. That is why water from the land always flows downhill toward the level oceans and lakes.

Psa 19:1 "To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows his handywork."

If this isn't "space" and the alleged "universe," wouldn't that be more of a display of a "creator" making something we've completely overlooked? Evolution is used to explain the accidental big bang and its Godless slow development of the claimed universe billions of light years across, and a speck of dust called earth with insignificant humans and other life in a "sea" of other worlds and life. What if this were a lie and humanity discovered the sealed system with earth at the center??? THAT would certainly beg the question, "WHO" made this structure for us. Evil does not want you to discover the creator...

(Note: The German scientist Wernher von Braun has this very scripture (Psalms 19:1) placed on his tombstone).

Isn't it odd that the very scientist who allegedly did rocket manufacturing and flights would be placing that scripture on his tombstone unless he was leaving a hint about what that dome and "space" were really about.

Psa 19:4 "Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun..."

Tabernacle = H168: o'-hel, From H166; "a tent (as clearly conspicuous from a distance): - covering, (dwelling) (place), home, tabernacle, tent."

Does the word "tent" describe an expanse that completely envelops the earth and goes on for billions of light years, with the earth being a small, nothing planet in a sea of planets and other space bodies, in a small offbeat section of this alleged universe? "Curtain" and "tent" both suggest a divide or wall that allows for human life to exist in a closed system.

"The end of the world" doesn't describe a ball earth. The ice wall that encircles the land and oceans of earth certainly is describing the end, or at least one we cannot pass.

Isa 40:22 "It is he that sits on the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretches out the heavens as a curtain, and spreads them out as a tent to dwell in:"

Pro 8:27 "When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth:"

Circle and compass both come from H2329 "to describe a circle" (2329 comes from H2328); a circle: - circuit

Some claim Isa. 40:22 proves a globe creation, "circle" supporting a globe or ball, but given the scientific evidence proof, the "circle" can easily be the round earth as it is on a flat expanse of ground surrounded 360 degrees by the ice wall. What else would a simple circle like a plate be described as in shape?

Isa 22:18 "He will surely violently turn and toss thee like a ball into a large country: there shalt thou die, and there the chariots of thy glory shall be the shame of thy lord's house."

"Like a ball" comes from H1754 = from H1752; a circle.

Isa 66:1 "Thus says the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool".

Are footstools ball shaped, or flat on top???

Psa 96:10 "Say among the heathen that the LORD reigns: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved:"

1 Ch 16:30 "Fear before him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that it be not moved."

Psa_93:1 "The LORD reigns, he is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength... the world also is established, that it cannot be moved."

Psa 104:5  Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever. 

"Shall be established" comes from H3559 = "to be erect (that is, stand perpendicular); hence (causatively) to set up."

Does this sound like a spinning ball in a moving universe?

Job 2:2 "The LORD asked Satan, 'Where have you come from?' In response, Satan told the LORD, 'From wandering all over the earth and walking back and forth throughout it.'"

This sounds more like a flat plain and not a ball he's walking around.

Job 38:4 "Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Declare, if you have understanding. Job 38:5 Who has laid the measures thereof, if you know? or who hath stretched the line upon it? Job 38:6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;"

"Foundations" comes from H3245 meaning "to set (literally or figuratively); intensively 'to found.'"

Do foundations move? Do you build anything on anything but solid and unmoving "earth?" (Mt. 7:24-27)

1 Sam 2:8 "He raises up the poor out of the dust, and lifts up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD'S, and he hath set the world upon them."

Pillars hold things up, but "science" says it is traveling in a vast universe of stuff.

Psa 24:1 "A Psalm of David. The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. :2 For he has founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods."

Job 28:24 "For he looks to the ends of the earth, and sees under the whole heaven;" 

The term "The Ends of the Earth" are used in 29 scriptural passages. This isn't something that would apply to a ball/globe/planet because where would the "end" of this ball be if you began moving in any direction around it? The ice wall on a flat plane at the southern most "end" holding in the oceans could literally be "the end" of the earth as we have it today.

Pro 25:3 "The heaven for height, and the earth for depth, and the heart of kings is unsearchable."

Deu 28:64 "And the LORD shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth even to the other;"

Jer 31:37  Thus saith the LORD; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the LORD. 

Heaven's height and earth's depth "Unsearchable" and Cannot be measured", meaning, we CANNOT go there or leave this earth.

Psa 148:4 "Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens.:

Psa 104:3 "Who lays the beams of his chambers in the waters: who makes the clouds his chariot: who walks upon the wings of the wind:"

Remember what God stated above?

God is far closer to earth than we think...

Psa 29:10 "The LORD sits upon the flood; yea, the LORD sits King for ever."

Apparently, God's very throne is above this firmament, and above the waters that are above the firmament, but close to it.

Psa 102:19 "For he has looked down from the height of his sanctuary; from heaven did the LORD behold the earth;" Also remember Isa. 40:22, where God sits on the circle of the earth...

Job 37:18 "Have you with him spread out the sky, which is strong, and as a molten looking glass?" (Dome/firmament?)

Even Joshua and David understood that it was the sun that moved, and not the earth...

Joshua 10:12 "Then spake Joshua to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon. 10:13 And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day."

Imagine the "universal" effects of stopping BOTH the sun and moon if it is NASA and others claim. Gravity and all other forces allegedly interacting . . . Yes, God "could" do such a thing, but the simpler answer is that the lights in the firmament stopped their course above a stationary earth.

Psa 19:4 "Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun, :5  Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoices as a strong man to run a race. :6 His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit to the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof."

Ecc 1:5 "The sun also arises, and the sun goes down, and hastens to his place where he arose."

Remember, creation is Gods, not what man conjures up. God's creation is simple whereas man's is complicated and even guesswork and lies...

1 Cor. 1:27 "But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;"

As the evidence proves, the earth is stationary and all things in the firmament move around US.
